PROFILE...

What you see is what you get.... enthusiasm, interest and eagerness to help. I like to see solutions where others see problems because that's what makes life interesting.

I think I was probably born an engineer and my father's workshop was my playground. It was inevitable that I'd seek out an apprenticeship when I left school, and General Motors provided the necessary experience and a path which eventually lead to University where I read Mechanical Engineering. Discovering microprocessors was a defining moment and they've shaped the rest of my career, the majority of which has been spent designing CNC control systems. I've also spent many happy years repairing very high speed ball bearing and air bearing spindles for the circuit industry.

now work from home designing and repairing all manner of equipment for customers as diverse as contact lens manufacturers and The National Trust. It gives me great pleasure to work with like minded people and put some of what I've learned to good use. To see the range of projects I've worked on do take a look at my gallery.

I'm spoiled by having all of the software tools and machines that I need to be creative and make a living. Life doesn't get much better than that.
