No modern workshop is complete without the use of CAD/CAM and CNC machining to complement traditional machines.

The models and tool paths shown have been created using Geomagic Design 3D modelling software and the CAM module. These produce outputs for the CNC milling machine.

Even if a part is being made using conventional machine tools, the start of the process usually begins with the creation of a 3D model. This is true for repairs and ad-hoc machining operations too because it provides a quick and easy way to produce engineering drawings, record the job for future reference as well as sending images of the proposed work to the customer. These images are in 3D and can be rotated to view the piece from any angle.
